Privacy Policy
A short, plain-English explanation of what information this website collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Last updated:
1. Who we are
This website is operated by Webliten, a web design and development studio based in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India, founded by Akshay Trivedi.
For anything related to this policy or your personal information, contact:
2. What information we collect
We only collect information that you choose to give us, plus basic analytics data.
Information you give us
- Contact details — your name, business name, phone or WhatsApp number, email address, and the message you send.
- Business information — services, prices, timings, photos and any other material you share so we can build a website.
- Correspondence — messages exchanged over WhatsApp, email or phone.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics — pages viewed, approximate location (city level), device type, browser, referring website, and how you arrived. We use Google Analytics 4, configured with IP anonymisation where available.
- Technical logs — our hosting provider records requests (IP address, timestamp, requested URL) for security and reliability.
Information we do not collect
We do not ask for payment card details through this website. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If a project involves patient, student or tenant data, that is handled separately under a written agreement — not through this website.
3. Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote or sample homepage.
- To deliver work you have commissioned, including contacting you about it.
- To improve this website — for example, understanding which pages people find useful.
- To meet legal, accounting and tax obligations.
- To keep the site secure and prevent abuse.
We do not sell your information, and we do not add you to a marketing list without your explicit consent.
4. Contact forms and WhatsApp
Our contact forms are designed so that nothing is sent until you press send in your own messaging app. The form prepares a message; it does not transmit your details to us until you choose to send it.
If you contact us on WhatsApp, your message is processed by WhatsApp (Meta Platforms) under their own privacy terms. The same applies to email and phone calls, which are handled by the providers of those services.
5. Cookies and analytics
This website uses a small number of cookies or similar technologies:
- Preference storage — remembers your light or dark theme choice. Stored locally in your browser, not sent to us.
- Analytics — Google Analytics 4 helps us understand aggregate traffic. These cookies are set by Google and can be blocked in your browser settings.
You can refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking analytics cookies does not affect your ability to use the site.
6. Who we share information with
We keep sharing to a minimum, and only with providers who help us operate:
- Hosting and CDN providers — to serve the website.
- Analytics providers — Google Analytics, in aggregate.
- Email and messaging providers — to receive and reply to enquiries.
- Payment and accounting providers — where you commission paid work and an invoice is required.
- Legal or regulatory authorities — where we are legally required to disclose information.
Some of these providers may process data outside India. Where that happens, we rely on their standard contractual protections.
7. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become projects — up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Project and client records — for the duration of the engagement plus the period required for tax and accounting purposes.
- Analytics data — as configured in Google Analytics, typically 14 months.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, including India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that is inaccurate.
- Delete information we no longer need a lawful reason to keep.
- Withdraw consent for future processing.
- Raise a complaint about how we have handled your information.
Email [EMAIL] with your request. We aim to respond within 30 days. We may ask for proof of identity before acting on a request, so that we do not disclose information to the wrong person.
9. Security
This website is served over HTTPS. Access to enquiry data is limited to the people who need it to respond. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect what you send us. Please do not send sensitive documents — identity cards, medical records, bank details — through a general enquiry form.
10. Children
This website is intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Links to other websites
This site may link to external websites, such as Google Maps or social profiles. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Read their policies before submitting information to them.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the business or the law changes. The “last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect the current version. Material changes will be described on this page.
13. Contact
Questions about this policy, or a request about your data:[EMAIL] · [PHONE] · [ADDRESS], Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India.
Please note: this document is a starting point written in plain English, not legal advice. Have it reviewed by a qualified professional before you rely on it, and replace every bracketed placeholder with your real business details.
